Chris and Balch Law Group recently completed negotiations for a $45 million Community Investment Agreement related to the construction of a $1.5 billion dollar hospital campus by Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, Inc.

The Brookhaven hospital, sited at the corner of Interstate 85 and North Druid Hills Road, is projected to include nearly 450 beds, two “patient towers,” a diagnostics and treatment podium, and a medical office building, according to Walter P Moore, an engineering firm working on the project.

Renderings recently published online by Walter P Moore indicate the new hospital is slated to rise 19 stories, the same floor count as the hotel that had stood on the site until its 2014 demolition.

The Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta hospital campus is also expected to feature a new AFLAC Cancer and Blood Disorders Center and a medical office building.

The 70-acre project, which could end up costing about $1.5 billion when all’s said and done, is also expected to boast more than 20 acres of new green space, as well as miles of walking trails for medical professionals and patients.
